Our Family

I am just going to say right from the beginning:
I know we are missing the cutest baby ever in our family pictures! We are working to change that very soon!

So I just read over what was in our family beginning and I am embarrassed at how out dated it is.

Mickelle just finished kindergarten at Oak Hollow and loved it, she can't wait for first grade. She is so smart, every report card came back with all 4's (A's) and in the comments always said what a fun, energetic and smart little girl she is. She is always so eager to learn and a delight to have in class! Mickelle, we are so proud of you and we feel the same way at home.
She also started learning French and can count to 20 and knows all the days of the week, months of the year and so much more in French. In first grade she has been chosen to be part of the French immersion program where half of her class subjects will be in French.
Mickelle has chosen to stay very busy this summer, aside from playing with all her friends and swimming at grandpa Craig's as often as possible she is taking swim lessons, gymnastics, baseball, and soccer! She is also doing Super Sports all through July twice a week which will be so fun. To say the least she keeps us very busy!

Brooklyn has grown up so much, I can't believe how much she changes everyday and how different she is from Mickelle. She is counting down the days till preschool which she will start this fall.
She loves to play outside with all her friends and reminds me each of their names every morning! This summer Brooklyn is still taking dance but is also taking swim lessons and soccer for the first time. We just had her first soccer game and it was so cute. I get to coach her soccer team and at this age that can be a challenge but I love it. Brooklyn is definitely our "Girl" which we love, she is always in her own little make believe world. I love to sit outside her bedroom door and just listen to her play with her animals and babies. Brooklyn loves animals, horses are her favorite but even the bugs outside she will hold and cuddle and talk to them as though they are her little babies. Each laundry day I am always digging out little flowers and bugs from her pockets. She makes us laugh around here 24/7 with her funny remarks and how she views the world. Brooklyn you make our home so fun and we love you so much!

We have a new little addition to our family Addison Taylor Cook! She is the most precious and adorable baby girl born November 3 2011. She is such a happy baby, I can't believe she is almost 8 months old!
Our little Addi is definitely a momma's girl, she insists on me holding her 24/7 and has very few people that she will let hold her if I am in sight, but we are working on it and getting better each day. She has been able to sit up since about 5 1/2 months old but hates her stomach so I am not sure when the crawling will start. Addi loves her two older sisters, she gets the biggest smile on her face and starts screaming every time they enter the room. I can't believe we have 3 little girls but I wouldn't have it any other way it has been so much fun and pink everyday!
Brett and I are loving life having three incredible girls live in a beautiful home with great neighbors and family so close by!
We are all very excited as Brett starts a new job this week! Finally he will be home every evening and every weekend and every Holiday!!!!!!! He keeps saying how he can't wait to be able to go golfing, go to the gym, fishing, hunting and so much more (which I am excited he gets to do as well) I do have to keep reminding him how busy our girls are right now and he has no idea how busy he is going to be in the evenings at dance, gymnastics, soccer, baseball, and swim lessons...... But all so much fun and I know he will love being with us. He has never had a job where he wasn't gone every evening so the girls are super excited.

As for me I couldn't be happier, really, I have 3 little girls that I get to stay home with everyday, finally have my husband starting a "normal" work schedule and am living right where I have always wanted! We stay super busy with so many activities and family events, and as all my neighbors could tell you my house work doesn't always get done but I spend so much quality time with my family and I get to be a mom and I love it!

Every year we take the girls to Disneyland, this year we finally, after 4 years talked grandma and grandpa Letti into going with us! We had so much fun and laughed so hard. I feel so blessed that my kids get to have quality time and memories like this with their Great Grandparents! Thanks again for coming grandma and grandpa we love you.

Mickelle worked really hard to save $62 for Disneyland this year. The first day she found a Pirates hat outside of Pirates which of course makes perfect sense as that is the girls favorite ride. For 3 days grandma and I tried to talk her out of the hat but she never gave in so we did and bought her the hat. The rest of the week it never left her head! (So Cute)

If you know Brett at all you know he always volunteers for the dances, shows anything he can be a part of! This time he really didn't try but was picked from the audience to be part of a "Marry Me Show" . It was so funny watching him answer questions the Bride to Be was asking, and in the end the Bride chose Brett to Marry. The only problem as you can see below, the Bride was pretty hairy if you know what I mean!

Mickelle Turns 6

I can't believe it was 6 years ago that we were starting our family. I am a true believer "Take every moment and treasure it because the time goes by so fast". Mickelle has been a pure join and has brought so much love, excitement and happiness to our family over the past 6 years. I feel like it was only yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital spending hours just watching her on our bed in pure happiness. Happy Birthday Princess we love you so much!

We have a tradition that on your birthday you get to choose what you want for each meal and where you want to go to dinner. This year Mickelle took full advantage of this and requested pancakes for breakfast, hot dogs for lunch and out to dinner. Brooklyn was a great sister and woke up early to fix Mickelle breakfast in bed.

We have a tradition that we always try to do some of the city Easter egg hunts the Saturday before Easter followed by coloring eggs with all the cousins. This year seemed to really sneak up on everyone so we decided to just color eggs at the house after the hunts. The girls were super excited that grandma Julie and grandpa Craig spent the day with us. W even talked grandpa into coming to a movie after coloring eggs.

This year we decided to take our trip to Disneyland a little early due to the fact we will be having a new family member joining our family the end of the year! All I can say is the beginning of May is an incredible time to go, Disneyland is warm enough for shorts but with everyone still in school it is not crowded at all, we basically walked onto every ride! Brooklyn was old enough this trip to decide for herself what she wanted to do and what her favorites are which made it really fun. It seems every year they have one ride that is their favorite this year it was Pirates of the Caribbean and mom and dad are sick of "Yo Ho".... Such a fun trip!

At lunch one day Mick watched as all the canoes went by and wanted to know why we couldn't try that? I treid to talk her out of it worried about Brooklyn but of course we gave it a try. Brooklyn actually did really well but mick paddled about 10 times and gave up, then asking mom why I would make her go on such a dumb ride! LOL of course my fault

First Spring Trip to the ZOO!

The past few years we have made sure to get an annual pass to Hogle Zoo. It is so cute to see the girls grow and learn all about the animals and what becomes there favorite each year. This trip Mickelle got to bring one of her neighbor friends Ella. It was so cute to see them run and play and of course Brooklyn always trying to keep up.

Our friends invited us to the World Circus, it was such a blast. Not your normal circus the kids got to ride an elephant, ride the pony's, get their faces painted and just have fun as kids. I'm suprised they aren't all sick after all the popcorn, pop, nachos, snowcones and everything they just had to have! (or should I say, what daddy had to have)

Mick and Brooklyn couldn't wait to get their faces painted. Mick went first to make sure Brooklyn really wanted it, sure enough she did until half way through she decided she wasn't having any more an insisted on being done! Her facial expressions where priceless!

Almost our 2nd anniversary with PPL and we are loving every minute of it! We just got back from our 3rd all expense paid vacation on a 4 day cruise to Baja Mexico. We had the time of our lives with some of our close friends and family!

First Stop was Catalina Island. So beautiful there, everyone is so laid back and everyone drives golf carts instead of cars. I don't think they appreicate us coming in a playing hide and seek tag on golf carts with over 40 of us LOL

After Catalina Island it was off to spend a day in Mexico. We decided to spend the day whale watching and fishing on the ocean. The weather was beautiful and the friendships that were made are a chance of a lifetime. What a memorable trip, we hope every team member knows we appreciate all your help earning this trip of a lifetime every year! Hope to see you with us in 2011

This year was our funnest year yet with the girls. Both Mickelle and Brooklyn were old enough to understand enough about what was going on to be excited. It was a real eye opener to Santa to see how each year the piles get bigger and bigger and really all Brooklyn wanted or thought she needed was the Hannah Montana make-up and all Mickelle was interested in was the Zhu Zhu pets. Neither gift was ment for that person LOL

The Disney Princesses must think Mickelle is a Princess in training, last year when we went to Disneyland Snow White had left a beautiful Dress in the hotel room for Mickelle to wear while in Disneyland, this year Mick wanted to be Sleeping Beauty for Halloween and she assured us there was no reason to buy a costume that Sleeping Beauty knew we were coming and she would deliver a dress to her! Well sure enough Mick was right our first night in the hotel there was a BEAUTIFUL sleeping beauty gown and crown waiting with a note from Sleeping Beauty for Mickelle!
The next morning we took mickelle into the salon to get her hair, nails and make-up done by the Fairy Godmothers in Training!
Every little girl needs to do this at least once it was amazing!

I can't believe our little girl is already 4 years old and in her 2nd year of pre-school! It seems like just yesterday we were in our first house giving her the very first bath. How time flies... She told all her friends in the circle that she is going to school to meet 12 new friends and may not have very much time to play with them anymore! LOL (Miss POPULAR I guess)

As a family we have had a pretty busy summer! Mickelle played on a summer soccer league that mom coached, it was so much fun and she did great!
Brooklyn has really gotten the hang of talking. It is now her way or NO WAY! It is so fun watching her develop, as long as you don't make her mad...

Brett and April have been staying busy with Pre-Paid Legal which has been great, April is actually headed off to St. George for a couple days then off to New York to help the team get going out there.
We have traveled with Pre-Paid as a family to a water park resort in Arizona for a training. It was so nice and way fun but can you say HOT! How do people live there.
We also earn an all expense paid vacation to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, 5 star resort, everything paid for it was the nicest vacation we have ever taken!
We posted a few pictures so you can all see how well things are going as how much our kids are growing.

Having 2 kids has made a big change in getting professional pictures taken. Lets just say Brooklyn has much more personality when it comes to trying to get a good picture. We have gone to Kiddie Kandids since Mick was 2 weeks old but I decided to give JCPenny a try and it was the best experience. They had her camera to follow Brooklyn instead of trying to keep her up on that stage. And instead of a 4 hour process, which it always is with us she had 42 pictures (Great Ones) taken in about 10 minutes! The best pictures we have ever gotten of her! I am totally recommend JCPenny at South Town mall to everyone with little kids. But isn't she so freakin CUTE!

Addison Taylor's Blessing

January 2, 2011
Today was Addison's baby blessing and everything went amazing.
Daddy gave her a beautiful blessing and she stayed quiet throughout the entire blessing! (Thank goodness)
Brett was really worried about Addison because all the men in the circle bounce her like crazy worried she might start to cry, and Brett feels like they might drop our baby!
It was so great to have all the family join us at the blessing and back at our home for lunch after. It is times like this that I am so thankful for an amazing family and how lucky we are to live so close to everyone.
Addison, you looked so beautiful in your white dress, a perfect addition to our little family and we all love you so much.

Week 3 I am Thankful for Family

Well this was the week of Christmas and I am so thankful that we have all of our family close by. We don't have to travel more then 30 minutes to see any family which mean we don't miss out on any family events during Christmas. This time of year is one that I can't imagine without my family which is why I am so thankful to have such an amazing one!
This holiday time was amazing as we had my parents and siblings stay the night christmas eve and we all woke up and opened presents from Santa.

Week 2 I am Thankful for Great Life!

I know most of you are wondering what Great Life is so very quickly. Great Life is a 4 day training on Personal Development, helping you to understand who you are, who you want to be, and how to make your life and relationships better! I have watched many of my role models go through Great Life and how much they have grown because of it so I decided to give it a try.
I am so thankful that there are people in today's world that care enough about others to put programs together like this. We had so many leaders volunteering there time to help make us better and to allow us to see what our strengths are to use in our daily lives. I went in trying to learn how to be a better wife and mother and how to be more open and welcoming to people. I wanted to learn to not be so controlling and intimidating to others and believe it or not after only 4 days and came out with so much more then that! If you know me you know I like my space and don't like to be hugged, I am happy with the friends I have and I enjoy being a leader. But after this training I had some of the best friends I will ever have and I have learned how to be a leader not a controller! (Crazy huh! LOL) I am so thankful for my "Angel" who made me take this training cores and for being there for me through the entire thing. I am thankful for each one of the Great Life friends I made that have really helped me see who I really was and who I am now!
I can't wait for Part 2 to start December 17th

What I am Greatful for Week 1

I would have to say that the first thing I am thankful for is my two beautiful little girls. Even in High School I couldn't wait to get married and have kids! (I know, I know, I have been told my whole life you have plenty of time why rush things) But for me this is just what I felt was right. I have always been one that enjoys company, (Brett on the other hand loves his alone time) so when Mickelle came into our lives something clicked, our mothers always tell us you just don't understand love to the fullest until you have kids of your own and this is so true.
I could truley spend ever minute with my kids (ok almost every minute lol) but really my day starts out so perfect as each morning Mickelle runs into my room and snuggles up in bed with me. Since Mickelle was old enough to talk I have always said to her "Best friends?" and she reply's with "Forever and Ever!"
Now at three years old she won't leave the house or let me leave with out yelling 10 times "Best friends forever and ever mom!" I love it, I don' think there is anything in the world that can flip your day like something such as this coming from one of your kids!
Then came Brooklyn, when I fond out I was having another little girl I was excited because they are so much fun to dress and relate to but at the same time I was a little worried at how we would have another BEST FRIEND! (How would Mick handle this) But it has been amazing, she has the most incredible personality, not letting anyone tell her what to do already at the age of 11 months! (I know I am in trouble) but I love it I want my kids to be strong and have a mind of there own. She is totally different then Mickelle, she loves to be held and wants to know you are there at all times. But now as she gets a little older and Mickelle and Brooklyn play together it is so fun. Many times Mickelle would rather play with Brooklyn then her friends and any attention Brooklyn gets from Mick is Gold in her eyes! These two little girls have really changed my life and I can't imagine life without either one of them. I am so greatful that God has blessed me with them!

Jazz Game with the Fam

Family night Jazz Game!

We took the Girls to the Jazz game tonight! It was a lot of fun for Mickelle but I don't think Brooklyn had much fun. I didn't think she would but I just feel so bad to leave her home so we took her anyways.
Mick chose a Jazz basketball (pink of course) instead of a Jersey but by the end of the night she had talked dad into a Jersey to match the ball because how was she going to play basketball with Jackson (her best friend) if he had a ball and Jersey and she didn't! Of course Mickelle won, when doesn't she around this house.
She looked really cute once she had all her stuff...

When we moved from our house in West Jordan we had to sell our favorite dog Daisy she was the cutest Beagle and was incredible with Mickelle but our new home doesn't have a fenced backyard and we knew it just wouldn't work. Mickelle only being 2 1/2 we thought for sure she would forget. We have now been in our new home since March and she still asks all the time if we can go get Daisy "she needs her" she says. I felt so bad but knew we couldn't have a dog right now so we caved in a got her a cat (Never did I think that would happen!)
But she has been great and any animal that can put up with Mickelle is incredible in our eyes. We all love our new kitten Tiger.

Wow! All I can say is if you don't take amazing all expense paid vacations with your work you are working with the wrong company! Brett and I earned an all expense paid Mexican Cruise with all of the top Executive Directors for a week and it was amazing. We had the time of our life hanging out with $250,000 Ring Earners, Deep Sea Fishing, Horse Back Riding at the Ocean, you name it we did it! Please if you haven't already take a look at Pre-Paid Legal even if it's only part time it could totally change your families life, it did ours!
We have Dominican Republic coming up in June 5 star resort all paid for.......
